Laz lives in the lower Westside, near Mexicantown. He’s not a joiner, so he walks the streets alone, wandering back and forth through time like a forgotten kid who never really grew up. He’s in his sixties now, or would be, if he hadn’t died that day, knocked into the street by a falling roofer’s tile, struck by a car. He wandered from home to home, living there just long enough for someone to find out his real name or that he didn’t age before moving on. Most recently he has come to rest in an abandoned apartment haunted by an old woman who thinks she is his grandson, and spends time repairing it, upkeeping it, and heading out to bust ghosts from time to time.
